Elrond is one of my favorite characters, and I love seeing pictures of him, too bad there are relatively few here on Elfwood. And yes, I also believe he can get ill, and now looking at this pic I feel like cuddling him . You did a fabulous job, thank you! Birthe Jabs replies: "Perfect, that's just what I wanted to achieve!"

The painting leaves no doubt in your mind about Elrond sitting in front of the fire because the lighting of Elrond and his surroundings is so well done. You can almost feel the heat from the fire. But, no matter how appealing the idea of Elrond having a cold is, he simply would not become ill. Both of Elrond's parents were half-elven, and after the War of Wrath he was given a choice; whether to be counted amongst the kindred of Elves or of Men. He chose the Firstborn. Therefor he would have been just like any other elf regardless of his lineage. Birthe Jabs replies: "I'm glad you like the picture! As for the illness: I'm not a fan of supernatural things and don't believe even the gods could change the genom of a body. They can stop the ageing, but they can hardly change the whole body completely."
