Caspian the winged cat-thingy plays and daydreams in the sky. How I wish I could do the same!

This started out as a very rough sketch I did for a friend, and I liked it enough to colour it. There are some things which I could improve about it, and the scan doesn't do it justice (the paper had a lovely parchmenty surface which hasn't come out at all well). Not sure about the pink clouds either, but hey ho. Overall I quite like the whimsical feeling it has.

Coloured pencil, graphite and a little ink.

oh my gosh! i drew almost the exact same thing (the actual figure not the backround) when i was in high school. (except with a lot less tallent) it was for a fantacy project so i painted a flying weasle in a forest. LOL. it was always one of the creations i would be most facinated to see. It's cool to see it done so well.

The style here reminds me of a lot of old cartoons from the late 70s, like Pigeon Street (do you remember Pigeon Street?). Not sure why though... anyway, he's lovely!

Hahaha. Great pic ^_^. looks a little like a weasle though (no offence) Love the swirly clouds.

This is very cute and cartoony. He does look more like a weasel or a fox, but I think that's just because his markings are more fox-like than cat-like. The bold colours are really lovely. ^_^
