SciFi and Fantasy Art Fate - Preliminary Sketch by Kat ´BloodRoses´ Maltbie

This is Fate, similar to the 'Incarnations of Imortality' as Piers Anthony titles them. Often when I travel I take along photocopies of my best sketch poses (in other words the outline of a nude body) to dress. The reason for this is I often get new ideas in floods, so I don't want to take the time sketching out a whole pose when I have something. I just toss it on a body so I can decide what to do with it when I get home. Fate is a friend's character, she and her ex, Death, have two modes. One is 'Street wear', the clothing they wear when they travel among us, the other is 'Otherworld wear', the clothing they wear to work. Done with a Sharpie.

That is an impressive effect to achieve with a sharpie. very stylized and frankly cool. it gives a feeling of contrast that seems effortless(yet is difficult to achieve). Kat 'BloodRoses' Maltbie replies: "Thanks. I'm rather happy with how this turned out considering what I was working with, which was a limited description of a character and the words "Take your imagination and run." ..heh.. I think they learned a lesson.."
