SciFi and Fantasy Art Ever Watched by Annie Rings

After her fathers death, Amber visited his newly dug grave. It was marked with a simple cross. She kneeled upon his grave, thinking. The dirt was soft, not yet set. In the distance the crows cawed. The tall grass blew across her fathers' grave. The weeping willow tree was unaffected by the wind. Grandfather had planted it as a child and now it was old and strong. Father had been buried on the family ranch, but now Amber must sell it, for woman are forbidden to own property. Her cloak ruffled in the wind. She had no family left and nowhere to go. A tear ran down Amber's cheek. She could still hear her fathers' voice in the wind: 'Beware the world, for it shall destroy the unwary'. Suddenly she turned around. She felt someones eyes on her back. Nothing except a single tulip blown to Fathers' grave by the wind. Knowing it was time to go, Amber stood tall and never looked back as she walked towards the unknown future. Seeing his daughter go, Father felt a sense of pride and promised to be ever watching.

3 Jun 2004	Carina Joergensen	Loading... Aww, thats really cute. I like the experiment with pose and her expression is very warm and makes the drawing 'alive'. Youve got the pose roughly down, but what would be great for it, is shading. The thigh, beginning from the knee and up (on the leg in front of her), could be shaded a darker colour, just like youve done with the inside of the cape, that would add a lot of realism, i think. I like the story behind, except the 'women not owning property' thing.. thats so unfair! =) Annie Rings replies: "Thank you soo much for the review. I don't get many.
