This is the final version of a sketch I made, which will (hopefully) be on soon. It was my very first PhotoShop job ever, so please don't criticize. (I know that I am missing a few scales on the bottom, and in other places, but i was really rushing to put uit up.) Well, the title should be pretty self-explanatory, it is a cross between a male Lion and a Mer-Creature: thus, a MerLion. I wanted to cross a Mer-Creature, Lion, Tiger, Dragon, and Unicorn (a "Merligerdragicorn), but it was waaaay to much work. It might (eventually make it's way onto this site, though... *sigh*...

If anyone wants the files for (free) download, including early sketches, PhotoShop layers, final product, etc. you just have to ask.

All images are availabe in .BMP format, and are all for free. Just please, don't claim it as your own work.

Thanks! I really enjoyed making it, but now that it’s posted I finally see all the parts that are wrong....

Isn’t that how it always is?

Hey Kyle,
If this is your first photo shop job ever I think you did an excellent job. I also think you did well with the scales too. I draw scales sometimes on some of my characters and I can tell you from experience that they’re a pain in the butt to draw. That’s why I don’t draw things with scales very often.
I think it’s really great of you to let people copy your art and use it in other ways as long as they don’t say it’s theirs. I don’t think I’ve ever ran across an artist that allows some one to copy their art.
I don’t mind if people use my art as reference but I don’t think I’d want them to copy it.
Anyway, good job on the Merlion, I’ll be looking forward to seeing other works of yours.

:-) Kyle Jordan Anderson replies: "Thanks!! Coming from you, that means a lot to me.

P. S. Thanks for ’favoriting’ my pic! Again, that means a lot to me, being ’the new kid on the block’."

Anyway, I really liked the idea of this piece, and I find the expression most interesting 18 Well done!

:-) Kyle Jordan Anderson replies: "LOL, I didn’t mean to make the face look so scared. But hey, it was my first!"
