i agree with the person above the face is way to young for the body all the muscles and like this little boy face. but its a really good dragon

that is an awsom dragon the man could use some inprovment but that is good dragon!!!

There is an explanation for the muscles, for surely Nemus wasn't nearly that built at the age portrayed. He was, however, having one of those dreams where you feel like there is nothing above you, nothing that would dare stand against the simplest of your demands, and nothing that can't be squashed like a bug. In other words, he saw himself with muscles, and the drawing is a representation of the dream. If you would like to see a more accurate picture of Nemus as a youngster I have an unfinished drawing somewhere in this gallery with a picture of him, Naub Zhifali, and the Commander of the Cantoonian Gaurd. He's the equivelant of a fourteen or fifteen year old in that particular illustration.

This has got to be my favorite in your gallery, Ilove the boyish features in his face, and the fact he also appears to be strong as a man with his outfit and gear

lol, he makes me think of Goku with that hair! lol! Or maybe it's the funny muscles on a little boy^.^ Either way tis cutie!

It's an EYEBALL in his staff!!! EWWWWW!! But also, VERY cool! It makes me think Thundercats . . . HOOOO!

Robert 'Bobby' Holz replies: "Heh. I think you're the first person to make comment of that little detail. There are actually two eyes, and you can follow a vein from one to the other... The other eye is kind of elongated though. Doesn't look as good as the one on the top of the staff."

I love the impressionistic clouds/smoke! And the boy's staff I have some sort of staff fetish and I especially like wooden staffs! Great details on it!

I also really like his cloak billowing in the wind. It makes him look so proud and majestic in an adorable way Isn't everyone's childdreams to become an adventurer? I know mine were and actually still are

The only thing that seems a bit off to me is the profile of the boy's face. I'm not quite sure what it is, because I've great difficulties drawing profile portraits myself. But I think the style is to cartoonish for the rest of the drawing. Maybe it's jsut me...what do you think?

Robert 'Bobby' Holz replies: "Well, no, I certainly don't think that it's just you. I agree... but in a way, I think it serves this illustration well. Nemus, the character, is dreaming here. So... narcissism keeps his boyish features on the body of the warrior/wizard he is wishing himself to be. [shrugs] I dunno. that's just my thought. "

This looks like some thing that came off of the dragon worrior games ^^
