| 25 May 2002 | Kathryn Norman | I'm glad to see another person who does not feel the need to colour everything! (Not that I hate colour, but black and white has it's merits too). Your work is good, I can tell you have tallent. You might try making the people a little more realistic, though. | |

I think personaly speaking you have a great talent, I once could drawn extremely well. perhaps in around or equal to your skills perhaps better, hehe.. maybe. =P I was dignoused with parkensons desease. So my heads are no longer steady enough to draw much of anything. Which brings me to adding in a comment. I run a game shard with a few freinds. and would like to have a few drawings for various races. If you are interested in this please give me hallor. ICQ= 98672468, Email= TheeGrrinch@aol.com or Adikin56@aol.com ............ I hope you consider this fully, Could use a great artist for this task. and you are perhaps the best in the feild for drawing races. If you were to do such a task, all credit would be yours and I would fell obligated to ask you to sign all drawings you would complete. Thank you. Travis CB Weaver.

| 9 Dec 2004 | Anonymous | Hey, when applying for conceptual artist positions your technical skills within 3d applications is the last thing they will ask for, this goes for the gaming and movie industry. what you will be expected of (especially for blizzard) is your creative thinking and life drawing skills.
I've been to countless art school and job interviews in my life and I've seen it many times people showing up with a ton of computer graphics in their portfolio and are usually disregarded immediately, those with a more fine-art approached portfolio stand a far better chance.
I talked to a tutor of Ringling (might have heard of it?) and his explanation for this is that the 3d graphic industry is moving so rapidly, if you have mad skills in 3d studio max or maya now, in a few years time they will be completely outdated, life-drawing skills on the other hand stands the test of time and will always be used, for everything else they can send you on a 4 month seminar.
Anyhow, think about it and good luck in the future!
