i was looking for ACTUAL, REAL gollum pics and to stumble across this???? ok sure its.. ok.. for an amateur... but please.. just lets stick to the professionals who know what they are doing

I don't know what these people mean when they say "REAL" Gollum pictures. Gollum is a made up character introduced to the world through a novel therefore the image of Gollum is open to interpretation and this picture is one reader's interpretation. There are as many versions of Gollum, Gandalf, Frodo and the rest as there are readers of the books.

What is the use of these negative comments? Personally, I admire Michele's drawing technique and his courage in drawing Tolkien's classic characters. I would like to have a hand at it myself but it's a difficult subject to approach for a broad range of reasons. Well done, Michele. Thank you for sharing your creations with us and I hope you keep drawing, to your heart's content.

I think golum is a very special and facnating creature. He suffered alot of pain and guilt. I personly like the name Golum better than smeggle. he was a very important characterin Lord Of The Rings. Andy Serkis did a outstanding unforgetable job of playing golum or smeggle. He had Talent, LOTS OF TALENT and the drive of the character inside of him. GO ANDY YOU ROCK!

All of you teenager morons who decided to be critics...shut up!!! This is a good drawing...one u idiots could never do. I bet your mothers dont look half as good as gollum. ur obviously very naive if you think there's such thing as a "real Gollum". get a life, and stop searching for pictures of gollum on the internet...hes already on tv...no need to whack off to him online.

People have rather negative comments. I still think this picture is wonderful. It's nice when someone is brave enough to draw something other than what's on television and in the movies, even though the critisism they get for it isn't constructive at all. O_o' It's lovely to see fan-art that is actually based upon one's imagination and first impression.
