| 23 Oct 2001 | Wayne G Gaffney | Loading...Hey Bonnie. Nice hand and cool little fairies. Suggestion time: Try to draw relaxed leaving the lines on the paper. Don’t clean up your lines till your almost done. Then you can pick the lines you like and draw them in darker. When you do clean up your lines try using a gum eraser, they run about 85¢ of the best money you could spend for pencil art. If you want to take it to the next level you can buy non-photo blue pencils. They don’t reproduce on most copiers or scanners. That lets you draw without erasing all the time. Then go over the lines in the drawing that you want to see with a pencil or pen. Then when you scan it in you’ll only get the lines you want. OK maybe too much info but hey what ya gonna do. Have fun. ^_^ | |

Imagine how real this picture would be if the fairies were casting shadows on the hand! I know shadows are intimidating, but with the skill you display here, I am confident you would pick up the knack in no time. | |

| 20 Mar 2004 | Kimmy | Loading...Some people just can't draw faries with clothes!! That makes me so mad | |
| 13 Aug 2004 | Anna E. Lawton | Loading...Aww, people, come on! What's the big deal about nudity? I think it's wonderfully pure, and besides, anatomy takes as much skill as drawing clothing. Anyway, Bonnie, I love this! The only thing I would change are the contours and creases where the thumb joins the palm. It looks concave, when in actual fact there is a pad of tissue there which would look more rounded, and the creases would go the other way. But hey, I'm rubbish at hands so I'll shut up now. ;o) Bonnie Jean Brewer replies: "Anna, thank you for the sweet comment, and your right about the hand, I think this one was probably the first time I fooled around with trying to draw hands up close like this, I still need a lot of improvement on them..." | |
