Rapture always had a hard life. The half-breed child of a demon and an angel, he was an outcast from both races. When his parents were killed he was taken in by the demon Charon. He raised Rapture in his village where he soon became accepted and even admired. Rapture grew up to become a soldier, as was Charon. Both were well respected. After many happy years in the village it was attacked by angels and Rapture and Charon fought with many others against them. They defended it well but Rapture was separated and a small group of angels found him alone. They proceeded to torture him, eventually crucifying him. They also ripped his wings and carved the word 'demon' into his chest as a sign to others. The village deeply missed their hero, especialy Charon who felt incredible guilt over the death of his close friend. But this was not the end for Rapture.....

Oh my. O.o Ouch! You ideas are REALY interesting... I've never heard angels being portrayed as the "bad guys" before... anti-heros, yes, especially since my friends and I are big followers of the "shades of grey" theory, but never the antagonizers. The detail is amazing and tragic is DEFINATELY the word for it.

Fabulous work, you draw very well. But just a minor detail about crusifying (or is it crusification? or crusifiction? whatever..) The nails should be put through the wrist. The bones in the wrist are strong enough to hold the weight of the person, whereas the nails put through the palm would just tear the flesh, causing the person to fall. And the same thing with feet, nails through ankles. You're not the only one to make this mistake, I don't think I've seen anyone drawing or sculpting crusifying the way it should. Keep up the good work!

I see on your personal webpage that you *have* colored this one. It does help. 2 It also made me notice the horns on his forehead creating a cross. Brilliant. 2

I love this pic, but it's a bit cluttered. Perhaps color would help?
