Jane is wondering if thou hast sighted the white whale?! Jane thinks it is annoying being a poet. One can never just look at a fly and say, "Oh, it's a fly," a poet must compose an epic about the fly. Inspiration comes at the most awkward times for her, which can be annoying when she is meant to be sitting an exam and instead she is scribbling on the corner of the paper. (One can only imagine her teacher's reaction when grading the paper.) Jane is at school, and wants to be a journelist, teacher or translater! Phew! (Or anything involving travel ... )

Howdy, Jane! I was on Merriman’s page and happened to notice you mentioned recently seeing "Rabbit proof Fence"- A wonderful but very sad movie. Lynn and I really like that movie, and knew an older Papago Indian lady(she was a very good friend of ours) who had a very similar experience here in Arizona. Several tribes had their children taken to "American" schools and were away from their families for years. Just as in "Rabbit proof Fence" this was done , supposedly, for the benefit of the Indians. Anyway, you have good taste in movies!1 P.S.-I really like your "Moon"poem.

:-) Jane Dillon replies: "Yes, extremely sad. I am actually reading the book but I have seen the movie. It is terrible that things like this have happened in history. It is good to know that we may heal though. This year Prime Minister Kevin Rudd officially apoligised to the aboriginal people and the stolen generations.
As for the movies, I recently watched Psycho but I was more scared at the end than during the shower scene!"
