The end was near, but still they stood together. He wouldn't leave her side, not after what they had gone through. If this was the end, then he would face it like he had faced the rest of his life. His chin held high, and proud until his last breath. And he could do it with her near him. With her beside him, he could take on the whole damned army. He actually felt sorry for the coming hordes.

This was a piece my friend requested. That's her pictured on the left. Done entirely with my wacom tablet.
