Co'diak was a fighter. One of the greatest warriors to walk the lands. He had saved lives, and taken many. The Bear knew no fear, except that which lay in his heart. He had loved many times in his long life. This time was different. She would never be his. He was a Bear. The girl was not. It would never be him that had her heart. He had forgotten how to be human a long time ago.

Once, Co'diak had a spear buried into his stomach. The pain was ungodly as the hard stick drove itself in amongst his bowels, slashing his guts as it sped through him. Blood, dark as oil matted his fur. He howled that day, an unearthly scream that drove his attacker to his knees. The titan had been hurt.

He would say to his children, years later, that that was the most pain he ever felt. It was not true of course.

Your pictures are like good music. Watching them hurts, but for all that you never want to miss that view.
