I loooooove the picture. *first comment dance* Ryan Bourret replies: "Yes, very much inspired by Lovecraft. Thanks for the nice words "

But now I'm starting to use Photoshop. But I'm not very good yet. You're spectacular, though. You should make a guide on FARP for newbies like me! Ryan Bourret replies: "Thanks for the ncie words. Using Photoshop is daunting to start, but I love it. I couldn't make a guide though, I don't have the brain for it. Plenty of good tutorials out there though! As for artsist thats inspire me... Travis Charest, Alex Ross, Waterhouse, and plenty others."
| 6 Aug 2004 | Steven; a fan of sci-fi art | Loading...For some reason this reminds me of an old sci-fi movie from the 50's called "It Came from Beneath the Sea" where a giant radioactive octopus terrorizes one of the coastal cities. I can't remember, though, if it was New York or San Fransisco but that's what this reminds me of. One last thing, is your octopus eating some kind of machine or is it part machine? He's part machine, part whatever. | |

Was this being created by another race (perhaps as a weapon), or is it more like a god, something that simply exists in that form for no special reason? I definitely see the Lovecraft inspiration in this; it's very Cthulhu-esque.I'd say he's more of a God. But really, I'm not much of a storyteller. I'll leave it to the viewers to write their own tale.
