  | This is the third style I work in. It has outlines and I dont blend the colors. Its much more illustrational. Its based on a story I wrote about a defeated general who flees from a battle. Basicaly, he meets a Tengu disguised as a woman (in this piece you see the Tengu transforming back into a crow) who grants him protection from the enemy hunting him; in exchange he could never see his youngest son again or the Tengu's boon would be ended. This works for 15 years until the General (now a farmer) seeks out his son; who kills him, as he is in the service of the enemy Diamyo from whom the ex-General was hiding from. |
