This is the roleplaying character of a friend. He is a drowish Dark Knight.
I chose to mix comic-like style (hence the black outlines) with some smooth shading. No background though, as I still have lots of problem with drawing backgrounds ;)
Done in GIMP.

I really admire your style. This is my favorite of all your pieces (although they're all very good). The armour...the battle-axe...it all fits together perfectly. Nice job on the shading too. He's one bad-looking moe-foe. I'd hate to run into him in a dark alley. Nicely done!

Your dark elf really is great. Heīs my favourite of your drawings also. Could be my kind of man. ;O) And whatīs even more interesting is that you decided one day not far from today to do some arts and did it quite well! Graphic tablets and coloring pictures is something I donīt have the slightest clue of unfortunately...

:-) Yves Branitar Maurischat replies: "It was indeed a very spontaneous decision. I hadn't drawn since I left school (10 years ago), so imagine my surprise when I actually produced something that was not completely crappy. 12 But that's one of the advantages of a graphics tablet: you can erase and redraw stuff as often as you like. And the layer support of modern graphics software was also of great help. 2"

I love your character work, it's all so clean and professional looking! I think this one and the dwarf are my favourites out of your gallery =)
The lighting is what really does it for me on this one, nicely done!

:-) Yves Branitar Maurischat replies: "Thank you! First I thought that it looked too artificial, as if it was made with a 3D program, but it grew on me and I decided against changing it 2"

Simple and still very good. I love the pose + boots.

1 Yves Branitar Maurischat replies: "Thank you! The pose is supposed to support the impression of a dark and evil guy that just waits for you to make a wrong movement 12 The boots were a just a fortunate idea, as i needed something pointy that still didn't look too heavy and chunky. 2 "

*happily walks in front of the knight whithout observing him but when she spots his hidden face and fearsome aspect meeps and makes the most innocent figure as possible while scratching her nape*...Hehe.... Excuse me... *turns to the artist*....Pssssth! Awsome dude! 1 *innocently good-byes and rushes as fast as she can to her hidden hiding-place*

:-) Yves Branitar Maurischat replies: "*laughs* thank you!"
