For those who do not know, my alter ego Is a green haired boy with the tail of a racoon and significantly more musical talent and raw charisma than I posess. His name is Terran, and oh, the stories I could tell you about Terran. But this picture is not about him, but his familiar, Robin. Robin is a cursed magical item (a figurine of wondeous power of a type not normally found) who came to Terran by chance. How he came to be cursed (with free will, near sentience, and the ability to speak in exchange for being unable to turn back into stone except when 'killed') and to be the FAMILIAR of a rogue/bard is another, and longer story (the moral of which is don't play with decks of magic cards unless you REALLY want a change in your life).
So here is the story of Robin's Last Stand, told in his own words.
We'll start in the middle. The beginning is boring. We were in a cave, underground, in the ocean. I don't have to breathe, or smell all the dead things which are all gross and don't even have things in their pockets worth having. There is a monster down here that sucks people underwater and we are supposed to stop it. I found the cave all by myself. We went in a tunnel and Terran said there was a trap. And then it went off, and almost everyone died. I was a little upset because the last time Terran died I went with him and I don't like it when he leaves without me. The people who didn't die decide we should leave. Terran has a magic carpet and we put the bodies on it so we can take them back and make them better. I am the littlest so I get to guide the carpet. The other familiar is a toad and he is very upset his master died, so I try to comfort him. (and I only thought a little bit about eating him) Then this huge horrible monster comes and kills everyone else, which is fine. I can get the carpet out without them. But then he comes toward us and I remember that the monster belongs to a necromancer! So I look for a weapon, and I find a wand of lightning bolt in the mage's other pocket. That is way more useful than a toad. Me and the toad sit on the carpet and we fight bravely to the death. Just because we aren't big doesn't mean we are helpless. We zap him. A lot. But the ceiling is too short, we can't get far enough away from the monster. The last thing I remember before Terran came and woke me up was hitting the ceiling. Before he got back, Terran had to fight himself as a zombie and I am glad I missed that part!

Loving the shading, and the light (?) coming from the wand (?) looks energetic and lively. Well done. Nice picture, but where are the rest of the comments?
