Hi, Andrea, and thanks for visiting my site. You likie Laura Freeman, huh? Heh, I had two painting classes and one drawing class with her in college. You should see some of her paintings, they're great! But you've got some potential here, I can see it in all your pieces. The one thing I would reccomend you try is working on your anatomy a bit. The best book I have ever found is "Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life" But other than that, I like what you have here.

Andrea, I've got a couple of suggestions for you. Artwork is, for the most part, nothing but observation and practice. If you keep drawing and carefully observing what you want to draw - you will improve. Getting yourself a good sketchpad and a good set of pencils would help with that. I would suggest that you stay away from color for a bit - it is much easier to focus on contrasts and anatomy with greyscale artwork, and then later on you can add color. Work on your anatomy and sense of proportion by drawing from real life or from pictures. It will help you notice the little details about how things are put together. Draw all the time! Even if it's just a sketch and doesn't turn out well - draw every day! Study the work of artists you like (Elfwood is a great place for this). You have the desire to improve - don't let other artists get you down - learn from them! Best of luck to you.

Please check it out. Most of my art are just redrawns of other people's work. It is not tracing, but is still unacceptable to Elfwood. I never took credit for the ideas, never profited from them, because those lines came from my fingertips, if not from my brain. Anywho, check it out.

Sorry about your troubles but using other people's work is wrong. Maybe you'll understand when you've gotten good at drawing your own things and have people "borrowing" from you. Keep practicing and one day you won't need to re-draw others' art.

*talking to rude person above her (Rachel Bebber)* Excuse me, hun, I've viewed both of your gallerys and I've seen nothing of the least bit alike. Maybe she does need to practice but I think you need to do a bit of practicing yourself. For instance, the whole bitching scene just really didn't cut it... it lacked so much emotion, I started yawning while reading it. There are only so many poses, hair colors, colors, features or clothes in the world. Oh my gosh... I think I redrew your art! OMG! I DREW AN ELF TOO! Not. Big deal. Get a grip. *rolls her eyes*

Oh yeah... speaking now of your drawings... I'll repeat it, though I think the troubles already been established. A-n-a-t-o-m-y. That's your only problem! You've got the imagination and the need to draw. Also, an artist is only as good as his/her tools. I recommend Prisma-color Pencils. You can find 'em at Staples and such. Hey there. Good raw start *smiles* I have one suggestion...was rammed down my throat in school. NEVER...NEVER throw anything out you draw.NOTHING. How will you ever look back and learn? As painful as it is for me, I still keep my old "junk"
