Looks more like he's erupting from the mud he controls actually.... but I suppose if he has control over shadow than he can make it liquid. He's an odd looking fellow, but cool, I really don't care for his pants though. He reminds me of a character from Clive Barker's "The Great and Secret Show", a screwed up teenager named Tommy-Ray (The "Death Boy")... he's some evolved kid who acts as a beacon to the restless dead. They somehow surround him and form a huge vengeful cloud full of leering hungry faces... Just my thoughts.

Once again, very cool. However, I must agree that the shadows look kind of like liquid. I think it may be because of the reflection lines, or the roundness (is that a word?) of the lines.

i think the shadows look like liquid because they have so much reflection on them. shadows don't show reflection. also his hair looks a little weird. otherwise its a great pic. i love your work. most artists only show the pretty side of life, but you show the real world.
