| 29 Jul 2001 | Brianna (Bree) Lawcock | Loading...*laughs* It's AYSTA! nah, just looks alot like my character...o.o;; Anyway, like many have said, I like the color scheme and the detail, I can just picture the new husband sneaking into the room and scareing (I know thats spelled wrong, but scaring doesn't look right, right now) her half to death! ^-^; | |
| 13 Aug 2001 | Kay | Loading...For some reason, as many times as I have looked at this picture, I never looked at the expression on her face. But, when I looked today, her pleased smile leapt out at me. Maybe it is because I see the same look on your sister's face. I like it. | |
| 17 Feb 2002 | Joy L. Halls | Loading...That'll be me on my wedding day for sure. Sleeping in the coat room or something. It's very orange (and I'm not good at squinting at orange,) but it looks nice. Overall, without such oranges, (though the orange does add a good effect) I think I like it. Nicely detailed, and the light source works for you. Brian Keith Cooke replies: "I did cheat a bit on this one, and used a photoshop filter to add a bit more darkness in some places where my shading didn't work so well. It turned out a bit more orange than I expected as well." | |
| 14 Apr 2002 | Karl 'Angel' Lines | Loading...such vibrant colour, you can feel the heat form that fire...or have I got things wrong...Mmmm, could be heat coming from other places, I can neither confirm nor deny that | |

| 1 Jul 2002 | Yerin Yoo | Loading...A very peaceful looking moment indeed!! I love the whole atmosphere.. It's just so relaxing and warm. It's a truely nice picture to look at on a day like today. (It's very cold and rainy winter day here in New Zealand!)Didn't realize you were a Kiwi. If the landscapes in Fellowship of the Ring are any indication, NZ looks like a truly beautiful place to live. This one turned out a bit more red than I had imagined, but it's not so bad for all that. | |
| 23 Jul 2002 | Alaina R. Gonzalez | Loading...Oh wow this pic is magnificent. I love the reddish colors. All the little things like the books and the bricks and the things on the wall really add to this picture. She looks really comfy. She is, very comfy. She travelled around in my sketchbook for probably six months or better before I came up with anything to put behind her. Thanks for commenting | |
| 13 Dec 2003 | Kim | Loading...Its strange 'cos red is a vibrant and energetic colour and she looks so relaxed, but if you has done it in a cold colour like purple it woulnd't have shown her good mood!! Nice job!But a cold color like purple wouldn't have gotten the effect of the fireplace that I wanted. I do admit, though, that this is fairly orange.... | |
| 16 Jan 2006 | Mich | Loading...I can't help it. I have fireplace envy. I must comment. Absolutely gorgeous fireplace. The lines of the room flow pretty well, but that fireplace is just... rawr. Sexy. A suggestion though: Limit the red/orangeness to the fireplace and its near proximity. Firelight isn't entirely all that bright, and it would make the picture much easier on the eyes. Unfortunately, you might lose some detail, but I think overall it might be worth it. Specially if your darken the walls and bookcase a bit. Otherwise, I really really am in love with the fireplace and the lines of this picture get more and more appealing. ^^ Brian Keith Cooke replies: "Seemed like the thing to do at the time. Sometimes color works for me, and sometimes it doesn't. This one was about 50/50 " | |
| 9 Aug 2006 | Kristin A. Erickson | Loading...All those details! How did you do it? Beautiful work. Brian Keith Cooke replies: "Lotta time spent between getting off work at 6am (graveshift) and waiting for a 9am meeting. Thanks for the comment " | |
