Filled with the wonder and glory of their patron deities, the Starmaidens break into a spontaneous dance. It will last until each and every one of them has dropped unconcious to the floor from sheer exhaustion. This pic is based on one of the religious sects created by Jim Milligan for his D&D game world. The description of the dance is my own creation, so don't blame him if it isn't true ;)

WOw so much movementI looked a long time for references for this one, because I really wanted them to look like they were dancing.

Hey look! not all of the figures in this drawiung are standing shoulder to shoulder so the photographer could get them in one perfectly centered shot. I had forgotten about this one when I made my comment on your front page. Nicely done. Good movement. nice variety of expressions and figures and poses. When will we see more of this? When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain...or is that when I'll be doing a Last Unicorn pic? I get so confused 12

Motion and energy. Interesting concept for a religious sect. The dance of life.Hey, they're obviously not Calvinists, right? 12

That is Horus, not Horse... LOL... I still might have gotten the spelling wrong, but I was closer...Horus, Horse, whatever. The egyptians had a god for everything, so there was likely a horse in there somewhere. Neighomet, god of horses. And death. 12

Disco inferno! 9 ) that's what i thought about when i saw this picture. wonderful detail, great shading. unfortunately, the women in drawings still look like men. by the way, when will your article to F.A.R.P be ready? i'm looking forward to it. very good job!I think they look like women, but maybe that's just me. I had to beg off the article, due to lack of time. As you can tell by my new responses to years-old comments.

Brian Keith Cooke,

Fantastic, wounderful Brilliant and I loved the stone work in the back Easy or not its great So is the Elven critter with the pillars. hehe, But this is the best. Your man-women are great and resemble the women of the era of the Egyptians and thus why i love it.

Flights Of Frenzy, Closes thing in the pass 700 some Artists I have looked at. Closes to being egyption that is, A commentor stated the Name Of Horus. He was the personification of the egyptian Pharaohs in Life, His father was that Of The personifaction of those in Death, Osiris. Your Eye tattoos greatly resembly that of the "Eye of Horus, aslo known as Amon-Ra in earlier Egypt befor ethe Pyrimids. Originaly He was the Only God of Two ententies, Two Falcons that is. One of the Day, and one of the Night, In time it came to be Horus. And In myth he had one Golden eye, that inwhich was the day, and one of Ash which was that of the night. In a Battle with Seth Horus' Left eye, Thee Eye of Horus. Its seen on most emples. Remember the Movie stargate. hehe Good classic of Hollywood gone fruad. In this Movie theres a Madalion with the Eye of Horus. Yet they reffer to it as the Eye of Symbol Of Ra, the god of the Firiey sun. False i m afraid. Imhotep on The mummy Movies, (the mummy, Mummy returns, Scorpian King) Imhotep stands for peace, boy some one screwed up. And Anubis was not vile so why have an army of anubis, Anubis was he whom guided the dead through the underworld to Osiris. Sorry to be rambling and using this message board for my own personal dictations. But you indeed used a similarity to that of the Eye of horus, But its his Right eye, Rarely seen in egyptian art. twas the Left eye which was important. But this leads me in asking if you would be interested in completing addition peices like this one. If interested please Email me, or ICQ me. I am on often. Thanks my rfreind and fare thee well.

ICQ= 98672468
AOL= TheeGrrinch@aol.comThere's a lot there to get through, so I'll skip to the salient points. The Eye of Astartes is supposed to resemble the Eye of Horus, but that's all. No other relationship exists. And of course movies are going to screw with history. Know why? Because they can. Because an army of dog-headed egyptian monsters looks good on film 12 I still take commissions, so contact me if you're ever interested.

I've been to some dance parties that were pretty close to that (drop from exhaustion). : D

Beautiful picture, love the detail in it.I don't go to parties that last all night anymore, myself, but it was fun while it lasted 12 Thanks for stopping by!

I like all the movement in this one Brian. It’s quiet a job to portray so many living figures in one piece of art man. Good job!
