Evelynne Greymalkin's husband, also a D&D character of Jim Milligan. I realized after I had already started shading it that his pose might be a tiny bit effeminite...oh well. Let's just say he's comfortable enough with his masculinity that he doesn't feel the need to be overbearing with it ;)

I love the sword, in fact I almost bought me a pin that looks exactly like it. He is rather feminine looking except for the scar on his nose, but scars happen to females also.2 The hands look good on this one also.

:-) Brian Keith Cooke replies: "No scar, just shading...I'm still working on noses that look right. You should have bought the pin 2"

See, people can't see what's under Shard's tunic, there, so, they can't see why he's so confident in his masculinity. :cough: Still, all in all, Brian, great pic. I really dig what you did with it. Thank you.

:-) Brian Keith Cooke replies: "Oh, you mean his great big....tattoo? 12 And you're welcome 2"

I don't get an effeminate feeling from his stance. His legs are still characteristically male - shoulder width apart - a female would have shifted the weight to one leg. I do think that it might work better if the sword were vertical instead of at an angle, then it might seem more conductive to supporting weight. Oddly enough, the hand on the hilt seems like it should be twisted the other way, knuckles up, but that's probably due to the angle of the blade. I like the minimal background. Amazing what a simple line can do.

:-) Brian Keith Cooke replies: "He wasn't supposed to be leaning on the sword as much as just sort of presenting it, but I drew him off-balance...Didn't even think about turning his hand over...I'll have to keep that in mind.."

Love the shading..but you draw a right hand in a left arm... 2Ummm, no...I didn't...it's his left hand, all right.

I'M not gonna tell him he poses like a girl...that's an awfully big sword!I will. But, then, I have the eraser. I can't tell you how much it irritated me that his pose came out like that, I really didn't see it until I had shaded it.

He walks like a man and he talks like a man.. But he stands still like a woman? Hmm 12.. Good pic nice shading. And i like the swordOr, he's just that comfortable with his masculinity. I really don't know anymore. Thanks for the comment 2

Luv the pic. but his left arm is twisted or something. Or is it supposed to look like that, like other weirdities in your drawings? I'm not hating, just asking. What other weirdities, pray tell? I knew there were some flaws, but weirdities?
