As for the drawing, i must say that i love her face. She looks both strong and kinda sensitive at the same time. She looks like a person who would hide her feelings very well. Very nice character concept, and very well done technically!!
| 25 Jul 2001 | Daniel A. White | Loading...she's well drawn, and has a good expression in her face, but she seems a little stiff, though I'm not sure why....possibly the way she is standing on her toes makes her center of balance look a little off. either way it's still a good pic, I've always had trouble with the female form | |

You don't have to, this pic is excellent. (most women going trekking for the weekend wear cotton shorts and a t-shirt, not a bikini - which means argument 3 makes no sense) Very deep shading, looking just right. Strange expression on her face, "what are you doing here? I don't like it, but I may have to kill you..."
| 7 Dec 2001 | Kya | Loading...O man, i so wish i had your skill! I love your black and whit pencil drawings, i like them a lot better than the color, but i am partial to pencil, heheBut if you took what little talent I have, what would I do? Thanks for the comments. Other people have said that they prefer the black and white better as well, but I really feel that I need to work more in using and improving my control over color... | |
| 22 Jan 2002 | Jennie Seay | Loading...I very much like her face. You can tell you spent some time on it. The outfit - well, hey - that's personal choice. If she wants to get armor bite in unmentionable areas, who am I to hassle her about it? Brian Keith Cooke replies: "She usually wears leather when she wears armor at all, anyway. I dunno, I just wanted the standard, mostly nekkid warrior chick " | |
| 17 Mar 2002 | Elizabeth Vegh | Loading...Those boots are great! She's very well done, Brian. But I love those boots! Wouldn't mind having a pair myself but since I live in Florida, I'd probably never wear them. hehe Brian Keith Cooke replies: "Sure you would. You have to have something to kick the alligators with, right? " | |
| 3 Apr 2002 | Sarah | Loading...i really like this one! only one suggestion, try making the breats a tid bit more proportioned to the chest, but other than MINOR point, very lovely!! Brian Keith Cooke replies: "Not exactly sure what you mean...they might be a tiny bit high, but they're also distorted a bit because I shaded the brassier-thing incorrectly...Thanks for pointing it out, though. Glad you like it " | |
| 11 Jun 2002 | Maxine | Loading...It would be to hot to wear armor when trekking, but a thong? Perma-wedgie. Anyways, good picture, like the shading especialy.I admit to being swayed by the "chick in chainmaille" fallacy...I don't appologize for it, though Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Shading didn't turn out too badly on her. Best pic of her that I did. | |
| 15 Jun 2002 | S/LaSH | Loading...The clothing seems logical, and I can't see why I didn't think of it. Of course, you wouldn't want any extra clothing because when combat comes, you want to be straight into those leathers and not dither about with taking stuff off beforehand; and if you didn't take it off, you'd be unbearably encumbered. Nice art, too.For those of you who haven't read Ben's webcomic "Dungeon Damage", go do so. Now. I wanted to draw a half naked chick, but being a warrior (theif, actually), I needed some kind of excuse to justify why someone in that line of work would be prancing around like that. Plus, I think a good backpack really rounds out a role-playing pic. Where else are we all gonna keep those lanterns and torches and ropes and grappling hooks and .... | |
