The Argosian elves are once again on the march, bringing destruction in their wake to all the human settlements in the Valley Tathnor. Overholt Castle, with it's surrounding village, lies directly in the path of the marauding elves. Here we see Lord Otto von Bruenwald defending his people and lands from the Argosian scourge.

Nice! As for the comment about big bald Count Otto looking like the bad guy and the cute little elf not looking evil at all... sometimes things aren't what they look like. I for one really like big ugly characters with hearts of gold 2Well, you know how it is...you can't please everyone all the time. Glad you liked it, though. Thanks for stopping by! 2

I think it's the little detail that really make this picture come to life. You know, things like the pattern on the elfs shirt, the lions on the armour and in the border, the work on the swords. Of course, it could also be the brillian action pose, or the absolutly amazing shading. Anyway, this is a true work of art, and I like the way you didn't use sterotyped characters.Mmmm, they may or may not have been stereotyped characters, but that's a whole other issue 2 I've been trying over the past few years to add more detail to my pics, so I'm glad you noticed and appreciated that 2

Man, this rocks. Strong linework, and parts of this drawring have a lot of energy. Since I tend to think of elves being good, and Otto's expression is so angry (?), I first thought the worst. However, your description says that the elves are "bringing destruction to all" and of course Otto is going to protect his own. I think we are about to see why the fair folk can not stand contact with iron! Besides, what are a few human settlements in the wood when the elves have so much land to begin with? I like this piece in part because of the multiplicity - the many stories some may see in it. Right and wrong, good and evil, or just different perspectives? Brian, this is a great piece. I hope you will come see my gallery. Thanks for stopping by, and for not ranting about how cruel this is to the nice elfies 12 Glad you liked it. There are indeed many perspectives to every situation, and history is written by the winners. I'll certainly be most glad to visit your gallery, as soon as I may....

That pointy eared freak deserves what he's gonna get and to top it off I'd slaughter the whole lot of those argosian elves and dance over them later. I mean why show mercy just because their cute and short? that just makes them even more dangerous.Yep. Better watch those kneecaps.

Powerful piece. It speaks to me.What does it say? I was trying to get it to move, and partially succeeded. Most of my pieces are very static. Thanks for the comment.

( damn pesky elfs ) I think the human's out for elf blood and with good reason and like said about the detail on the armor and clothing is great.Thanks. And he thinks he has good reason. Who am I to argue with him?

Wow. I love the emotion the leaps from the piccy. But when I first saw him, I couldn't help but think of General Kiba from Suikoden II RPG. Tee hee... heh! I love your skill at drawing guys... I'm envious really. Hope to see more soon! Thanks much. There's plenty more here, any time you want to come look around. I don't know the game you're referring to, but if it left good memories, then that's all right 2

Great picture here, great shading, movement shows, etc, everything. And since everyone seems to be commenting on the elf situation, I expect the Argosians are expecting casualties, but obviously this one wasn't expecting to run into a big, muscular, experienced warrior in full plate, just goes to show that you shouldn't underestimate your enemies.
Anyway, great picture!.That's true. Remember, smaller does not automatically mean nicer. Thanks for the comment! 2

I think that the detail on the weapons and armor are great. I really like the facial expressions as well: you can see the anger in Otto's face and the elf looks like he will need a change of underwear if he manages to escape. 2I don't think he will manage to escape, but I don't really remember what my mindset was when I drew this one. I was certainly more prolific then. Thanks for stopping by 2
