| 21 Nov 2006 | The falcon | Loading...I'm really wondering what animating program you used to make that Brian F. Wong replies: "Which image? My work is generally built in a combination of:Hexagon 2: 3D modelerPoser: Figure composition / posingVue: Scene building and renderingSometimes I use az|Studio: Same purpose as poser, but a free downloadable app - more limited that Poser, but useful at times.Bryce: From same company that does Daz, was only $6 until recently. Use sometimes in place of Vue to build scenes and render for it's different lighting / atmospherics.Carrara: limited modeler and scene builder. Have tried to use in place of Vue and in place of Hexagon, but the app is buggy..." | |
| 23 Dec 2006 | Marika Viklund | Loading...Wow! I don't normally like computer art of this kind (too game looking) but these are great! Really great! I think because of the compositions in the pictures are great and the lighting and shadows and backgrounds are amazing, also the fact that they DO something in the pictures!! Not just standing around and existing like so many do! A great gallery!! Keep it up! Brian F. Wong replies: "Digital art is coming along as a new medium. When I got into it, I at first thought it would be a shortcut to getting my ideas out there. But 8 years later... it has it's own world of things to master and in some ways has been harder for me than my old line art. Granted I never got -that far- with line art, but this is, rather than simple, just -different-.There is a lot of bad art in this kind of digital work, but there is also a growing body of people way better than me. Its kind of like photography - everybody can shoot vacation pics, but there are still a few Ansel Adams types out there turning that shapshot device into a new canvas. I only hope to 1/1000 as good as that someday. " | |

| 10 Jan 2007 | Tina | Loading...Your work is amazing! I've never been a fan of rendered art, but you've really shown that it can be beautiful and natural. I also agree that our society's hang ups about nudity are ridiculous. Keep up the excellent work! | |

A student of The Law, eh? Well I suppose the pay is better, just do not ignore your muse. You will find you regretting that decision and i know whereof I speak.

Brian you are as good as those you compare to Adams. It was Adams’ single minded devotion to his muse which led him to become the formost artist in American photography, Others are trying, some come close - but it was his Gift that the other do not have. His Gift was his alone.
Let’s not even speak of American views on nudity! I am incredulous that it’s perfectly alright to display violent acts whenever and wherever, but let a woman expose her breast...By the Almighty! You’d think she had committed some unpardonable act. I suppose it’s our Puritan forbearers we have to thank for these perverse attitudes and more’s the pity. Still, this is the United States of America and the last time I looked we are guaranteed a certain freedom of expression under the first amendment - correct counselor?
Thank you once again, Brian | |
