You have memorized human facial features really well, and you hide a emotion or feeling behind every picture, which I find very enchanting. You're artwork is great and I will make sure to come back often for updates! Cookies, anyone? Shayna Long replies: "Thank you so much, you are so kind!"

You have a great start here, and you really do show a lot of promise- and you have a lot of talent too- after some practice, I think you will be extremely good! You are especially good at realistic portraits (my passion, although I never manage to make my portraits fantasy...) Well, enjoy yourself here at elfwood, and keep up the good work! Shayna Long replies: "Thank you so much for commenting! "

I'd love to know when you update next, if you would be so kind as to drop a line or two to my humble little hole in the woods. Thanks! Shayna Long replies: "Thank you! I did check out your gallery, and it is wonderful!"

You have the inspiration to draw, and you definitely have the talent. All the rest is just learning to trust your eyes. My mom had a Japanese art teacher who said, "Drawring is ninety-nine percent rrrooking." I think your drawings will really start to spring out of the page when you forget what you're drawing and just start seeing shapes. A good suggestion for beginners is the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." An art teacher of mine used this method and it helped me a lot! Keep up the great work! Shayna Long replies: "Wow! Thanks for all the great advice! I'll definately have to check out that book."

Look always at reality, I mean real persons and look for example how the shading looks like when the light comes from different directions. A lot training and some experimenting will help you to improve your already great skills.
