The frog sat on the windowsill and looked around. After finally checking every inch of the landscape, it hopped down onto the ground outside. As fast as it could it jumped away from the witch’s cottage in the woods. If a frog could show emotion, then this one would be showing fear. It ran into the cover of the trees, no idea where it was heading.
After an hour Tim, for that is who the frog/boy is, hopped out of the woods. He looked up and down the road, and then bounded across it. He dived through the hedge and came into a garden. He scanned it, before spotting a pond. Relieved he skipped over to it. He stood on the edge and looked in. he felt something grasp his body as he was about to jump in. it was a pair of hands that lifted him up to the face of a 5 year old girl. He croaked in frustration.
“Daddy!” cried out the girl, “can I keep him?”

*
“Darling, why on earth did you bring that horrible frog?” A feminine voice drawled from outside Tim’s Tupperware prison.
“I like him, Mummy” a childish voice said with indignation.
Spare me thought Tim with disgust.
“Look, there’s Buckingham Palace” a male voice said in an unexcited tone.
Oh, goody Tim thought sarcastically.
“That’s boring!” the girl cried. She sat down on the pavement and opened the Tupperware. Tim leaped for freedom, desperate for escape. The girl caught hold of him.
“I do wish you’d get rid of that frog” the woman said.
So do I.
“I’m never getting rid of him, I love him” the girl declared.
Help me!
“At least put it back in it’s box”
No, not the box!
“Alright” the girl said in defeat and put Tim in the box. She reached for the lid, but was too slow. Tim leaped out and bounded over to the closest cover. It was a bush behind the fence of Buckingham palace.
Freedom at last!

He, a half frog half boy in the garden of Buckingham Castle. What will you think of next.
I liked the way his thoughts interspersed the dialogue and that they were in italics. Interesting story.
