SciFi and Fantasy Art X-Mas 2003: Drumming Nutcracker by Joanna Bromley

This was one of last year's Christmas card designs! This started as a Christmas sketch/doodle as I was not sure what to draw for the season...and I only had two and a half weeks left for Christmas...! But more often than not, the characters in my sketches seem more alive than in my final pieces, so I decided to stick with this one and applied colour Ta da! Coloured pencils on coral-pink canson Mi-Tientes paper.
