	Some creatures have a happy, innocent childhood. But not so for this particular gryphon. He has not been born, as other gryphons are. Rather he is the product of a cruel yet ingenious demon; a combination of bird and lion, stitched together by thread and dark magic. The spark of life has yet to be instilled within him. When it is, how will this poor creature regard its maker?

16 Mar 2004	Xandman	Loading... Wicked cool picture, and an awesome backstory in the descrip. Kudos muchly, looks great - excellent detailing, and very creepy demon-dude. Great work as always. Bloody fireworks, throwing of entrails Bronwyn McIvor replies: "Well thanks, xandman. I stayed up till about 110 finishing this one. . . i was working for at least 2 hours straight. I seem to do some of my most interesting stuff when I'm approaching comatose."
21 Mar 2004	Chels	Loading... Veeeeerrrrryyyyyy nice. It's creepy, and cool (as usual) and I just love it. I can picture it in my head, and amazingly enough it looks exactly like the pic! LOL. Oh...I need a new therapist. The last one tasted like strawberries. Bronwyn McIvor replies: "Oh my. . . you go through therapists so quickly. lol thanks for the comment."

Bronwyn McIvor replies: "I feel bad for him too. . . it's a really crummy way to come into the world. And coincidentally, i'm reading the mage winds series right now!"

Awwwww...the little gryphon is so cute,poor little fellow, and yay you on the story behind it! its really cool...but will be having nightmares bout that demon he's scary!! Congrats on mods choice for the colour version but I personally prefer this one,it has a better eerie atmosphere to it,and the detail is better!* Bronwyn McIvor replies: "I'm pretty fond of this one myself, and since it was in pencil I could go crazy and stay up all night doing the details!"
14 Sep 2006	Juliaer	Loading... He is a damn cute gryphon... Frankly if i could make a gryphon like that, i would too!!!! You've got to admit the deamon has done a pretty good job... And once you'd made something that cute, even if you are an evil deamon, you gotta love it, right??? I can imagine him finding some sort of fatherly instinct deep within himself... Bronwyn McIvor replies: "I know what you mean. . . It's definitely nice to hope that that's what would happen!"
13 Jul 2007	Lianna	Loading... Wow! I like this much better than the colored version, even though the guy's skin isn't blue. You did a really good job making the light from the candle light up the guy; it makes the whole feel of the picture different, like he's patiently working on some dark and creepy nighttime project. That feeling gets lost in the colored version. I even think he looks bored in the color version, which might explain why he's doing what he is doing. Bronwyn McIvor replies: "Thanks! I remember working for a loooong time on the lighting/shading, so I'm glad you like it!"
