'A hand in the mouth is worth two on the fisherman' ~old mermaid saying Just a bit of a different take on our modern idea of mermaids. In the past they were, after all, regarded as the bane of fishermen and sailors.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! EVIL MERMAIDS!!!!!! Back off mermaid!!! I have a ore and I'm not afraid 2 use it!!! (*takes ore and swings it around violently not hitting specific target (which is Evil Mermaid*) Other than the evil mermaid part I like it alot!!! They must be really hungry 2 attack people like that.Eat away mermaids! Eat the bad men!!!

This is a very interesting variation of the traditional beautiful mermaids. I like the pair that are fighting over the young (?) sailor, they show a lot of expression. The boat looks good too. 2 Great job!

:-) Bronwyn McIvor replies: "wow i can't believe you figured out it was a boat lol! I was worried that nobody would know it was a boat. . . it was kinda hard to figure out what it would look like from beneath. As for the fighting pair, I wanted to show how animalistic my mermaids are, so I'm glad you like them."

SAILORS! Hehehehe......I personally think this is a great picture. The bottom of the boat is very well done. Hey, they whole thing is very well done! Congrats

1 Bronwyn McIvor replies: "haha you can only tell it's a boat because i told you it was. . . well, thank you anyways love"

Wow, this picture is great! Another of my favourites! The idea with the mermaids being evil, and that they can eat human flesh is superb! I especially love the visual of the mermaid that is pulling the still-living sailor underwater to his death. 1 Great job with this piece!

Its awesome because you can really see them pulling the sailors down and pulling them away from each other. Your technique is really good!! (although, i can't say that i know much about technique and perspective in drawing...)
