This is another picture that has no story behind it. I rather like the idea one of my friends had, that it was a typical dragon- kidnapping-a-princess gone wrong. The dragon doesn't know whether to eat the maiden or just keep her, and the maiden is just bored with it all. There's also the question of why she has no clothes. . .

Well, and I just love nudity... I don't think artists should try to avoid it, at least woman nudity. There is nothing wrong...on the contrary, it's beautiful...
That's what i tell you about this girl... 12

Why no clothes? Obviously in the dragon’s lair there are no laundry facilities. Clothes get dirty, perhaps singed by occaisional flame bursts, ripped on the rocks, etc. No boutique to get replacements from. No hairdresser so has to wear hair straight. No wonder she’s bored - no more shopping trips for gorgeous goodies. Apparantly dragon thinks she’s a keeper. Needs somone to scratch just behind the ears - ahh, a little to the left, now down a bit please. Also, nice to have a pet. He always wanted one as a hatchling but mama said NO - no pets in the den. He has such a benign face, but obviously won’t stand for any hi-jinks. Got to keep pets under control, after all!

The idea of a dragon- kidnapping-a-princess-gone-wrong seems kind of humorous. I like the picture, but the serpent’s hand that sticks out in the air is out of place and should have been drawn in another area. Also adding hands to a serpent doesn’t make the creature a serpent anymore but some species of dragon.
