I had originally planned to have a griffon in place of the dragon, but as I developed the scenery the dragon just seemed to fit the image better.

O.O thats amazing, i cant draw as good as that, my work is good i think, but yours amazes me, its one of those things were you keep staring at it and cant stop looking because its so beautiful. i love how you draw, you have a very unique way of figure and shape.

This looks like the same dragon from your "Lightning Dragon" picture! That's not a bad thing, in fact it seems much more complete here. The sky once again feels broad and spacious, flickering with magic lights. Just the way I like it. Very good job, man!
