Hello, Bryan! Wow, what a great name. Have you ever noticed that there are a lot of creative guys out there named Brian (or Bryan). They usually wind up successful so I keep wondering what happened to me? ANyway, thanks for the coments on my gallery. They are really appreciated. I hope you continue to draw because you have potential. A good reference for anatomy is muscle and fitness magazines. You can really see how the muscles and the body work. Also study shading and contrast. Shadows help define a person and their surroundings, bringer them more to life. Keep up the good work and I'll be watching!

well thanks again every one for your comments, I heard a lot of you suggestions that I spend a little time studying anatomy and muscle structure, I may spend some time doing just that....

You definately have talent, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. What you really need now is the skill to back it up. They really are 2 different things; skill and talent. Talent is ability to make the lines do what you want them to. Skill however is what you learn from observation and drawing exacly what you see. Skill is knowing where those lines need to go even when there is no phiysical object as a reference.

If you get a chance to take some life drawing classes, then you should do so. If they are not offered near you, then try drawing still lifes (a bottle and a piece of cloth with a single bight light sorce is the best way to start)...i know i know, they are boring as hell but if you get rid of all your preconceived ideas about what is in front of you, still lifes can really teach you how to SEE things they way are in life. Once you get good at drawing what you see in life, you will beter be able to draw what you see in your head.

Good luck and keep up the good work! If you ever need help or have questions, just hollar! 2
