You have a very unique style and i like it! I would also like to see more coloured peices in your gallery though 8 you do very well with poses and porportions except...geee...don't hurt me, i think some, not all, of you heads are just a touch too small...i dunno, then maybe it's just me?

thank you for commenting on my gallery 2

:-) Heather Y. Griffin replies: "thanks, and yes my heads are a bit small compared to the body but you have to make mistakes before you are perfect. so thanks."

You're an excellent artist, just work on shading and coloring especially. You have a good concept of porportion most of the time, but one thing I saw you having trouble with is the shoulder joint. If you have a brother or sister or friend that can model for you, get them to and study that area. You're going to be putting out stunning works if you keep working.

1 Heather Y. Griffin replies: "thanks for the comment, i have been, lately, working on certain parts of the body to get better at, right now its the legs and torso area, next will be the head and hair and next was gonna be the choulder and arm regin. i have a hard time with some of it because it just pops out of my head so i have no referance to anyone's physical features."

Dear Heather
As you know we like your work, but we see it EVERY FREAKIN' DAY AT SCHOOL. You are a very good artist and we love you. Also Rogue thinks you should join a nudist colony because you like to draw people in the nude so much.
love always,
the gang

:-) Heather Y. Griffin replies: "dear Chelsey rogue, josh, sezen, Debbie. you dont understand how many dirty looks i get from you every day at school from my pictures i dont even show them to you you grab them out of my hands and look at them so i dont think you can critisize me on that subject and with rogues responce on the nudist coloney, just because i draw nude doesnt mean i need to be on and almost every one on this elfwood site would back me up on that. love, heather"

Hey Heather! Your artwork is literally very unique because I guess you wouldn't usually see this kinda stuff. For instance, the 'expecting' fairy and mermaid was pretty interesting along with the beta-mermaid. In other words, it's original with a basic concept to it. I like your style alot. Keep workin' at it and I'll come check it out again ^_^. Thank you for commenting on my art as well. c ya later!

1 Heather Y. Griffin replies: "thanks, i never saw it as unique. And i hear it all the time, oh your really good for a 14 year old. but i dont see myself as really good, ever. seriously. sometimes i think i cant draw worth crap.but thanks. im doing my summer project. its the whole zodiacs put into one drawing, so normally someone will draw a virgo, then on another paper they'll draw aquarius but im trying to make all of them in one paper. its gonna take forever."

Hi! I found you through elftown, sometimes I just browse random member's galleries. I like your style but can't help but notice that you could improve yourself a lot with just few little tips. So, whether you like it or not, I'm going to give them to you, I'm such a meanie. 12

First, you definitely should buy yourself a softer pen, 3B or even 6B. I guess, and I'm rather bad at guessing, that you use HB. It makes your finished pieces look like fast sketches. I'd also recommend inking your stuff, it would make them far more vivid than they are now. Secondly, more interest on the hair and backgrounds. With the hair, instead of just colouring them, try doing separate locks. Or what ever they are, my English is bad. Backgrounds are always tough, but you are good already so improving them would make your pics so much better.

By the way, I like your style of anatomy. It has certain cartoonistic features in it. Well proportioned and I can see you have an eye for that, excellent. And just wanted to say this, you look pretty in that picture of yours in the town. 2

Like Heather Joyner said you have a unique ability to look at something and then create something totally different I think that ability is special I wish I could draw Fantasy art like you but all i can draw is this Anime stuff well keep up the good work I hope you will get better at what you love to do. Also dont get so down when people are looking at your drawings and giving you wierd looks just remember that you are the one that created those works of art and they just dont realize the perspective you were coming from just go for it. wow I really like your art! I like how you they look so real (well compared to mine anyways T_T) and I understand what you mean about angry teachers...I mean we can't help that we love to draw and pictures of weird things pop up all over the place...like in our math books...or on our science title pages ...though that might just be me...well I love the poses and everything and keep up the goos work!
