While the nose and lips were indeed based on those of chimpanzees, which, although most people don't understand the distinction, are apes, not monkeys, the eyes and mouth line were based on Kurt Vonnegut's. I do think he looks like an ape of some sort, maybe a gorilla me thinks. He does look a little sad, maybe do to the fact the his rain forest is disappearing very rapidly. That was my first thought when looking at this picture.
Anyhow, great pic and the shading is very good. I have never heard of this Viejo Verde, but being a foul-mouthed green old nature-dude sounds like a lot of fun. =) Very pretty. | |
