You have definitely captured a 'gnome-ish' feeling in the wonderful features on his face. He is also very well armed! Yikes! The weapons are very believable and cleanly drawn. Great choice for a hat, too! If I saw this guy in my garden I would still run away, though. I hope he wouldn't be offended!
