I've been experimenting in the purely digital realm lately, and this is one of the results.

minor disclaimer: The person in this image was rendered using a 3D program called DAZ|Studio. I didn't paint her by hand, I am not nearly so cool as that. So don't compliment me on the anatomy, the software fixed that for me. *grin*

I created the wings using a fractal program called Apophysis (www.apophysis.org), which is a really nifty program. Give it a try!

The 'wings' and person were cobbled together in paint shop pro, which is also what was used for her hair and body art/tatooing.

Awesome! I love it when people take these fractal programs and utilize them for more than just a pretty image - I love how you've done the wings in Apophysis (very cool program - I need to play with it more!). They came out awesome. Very neat concept!

It's beautiful. I'm still struggling and easily frustrated by computer art programs but I am seeing some great results! Nice work!

Hey Jen, I don't know if it's you or the program...but your rendering of the body is very well done...she doesn't look stiff or "posed" as sooo many of the rendered figures do. The wings and body art make me think of feathers...like she's a bird-woman with downy feathers on her skin and wings. It's a lovely pic...makes me want to go try a poser program!!! *smiles*
