This started life as a pencil sketch that I won't subject you all to. It's now been outlined, filled in, Super Blade Pro'd, Paint Shop Pro'd, backgrounded and shaded and softened and smudged and microwaved and degaussed and is anyone even reading this far I wonder.

Anyway, yes, he's an air-breather. I picture this guy as being sort of an analog to an orca, only reptile instead of mammal: an efficient predatory water-dwelling serpentish thing, only recently (in the evolutionary scale of things) having taken to the water. Those aren't really fins: they're more akin, in some ways, to bat wings, of skin and cartilage. Kind of a waterwyrm, I guess.

July 2004 - uploaded a new version with better overhead lighting.

I wouldn't want to meet him when I'm out swimming...he looks a bit scary! Nice piece!

:-) Jennifer A. Cabbage replies: "*grin* Yeah, he's a bit toothy. If I ever try it again, he might need more extensive swimmy things, but hey. Snakes don't have 'em, and some of them swim just fine."

very nice computer work! Nice underwater shading and effect! You have a very scary looking fellow here. Except I have a feeling he might not be as scary as he actually looks *LOL*

:-) Jennifer A. Cabbage replies: "Gosh, how could you tell?? 12 Heehee."
