This is Ike. Ike says hi. Say hi to Ike, everyone!
Well, as the title explains, Ike is the Chosen of Light, and the vessel of Gaia, Mother Nature. Ike is the main character in my book, and as the Chosen of Light, he has a huge burden upon his shoulders. You guessed it, he has to save the world. But unfortunately for him, the only way to do that is to sacrifice himself. He must give all the light in his soul to dispel the darkness that is currently eating leeching the Sun God's energy and causing the sun itself to fade away into nothingness.
Ike cannot eat, and he does not need to sleep as often as normal people (maybe about 5 hours a week), for he gains energy off of the light-- moonlight or sunlight. This ability would normally be great and everything, but the light in the world is now limited, so Ike's consumption, though not as bad as the darkness', is in itself stretching the sun god's energy to its max, and it is making time become limited. As Ike lives and gains energy off the light, it is a lose-lose situation for him. He must either die to save the world and never actually see the world in good health, the result of his sacrifice, or he will die because he ran out of time and starved from the lack of light. Poor ickle Ikey!
(I've said "light" 9 times, now... er, I mean, 10!) So enjoy my little beauty! Oh, by the way, Ike has this appearance (ears of a rabbit, wings of an owl, tails of a tiger, and legs of a dog) because as the vessel of Gaia, he resembles her and shares some of her power. He can change into a wolf/dog, a horse, and a raven, he can move at the speed of light (11), and he has "divine eyes" on his palms that have X-ray vision and can see the energy and vital points in living things, and exactly what would happen if he hit those vital points (ex., he can see where he could prod to disable his foe, to injure-- mortally or mildly, or to kill). Okay, I don't deny that I did get the inspiration of the divine eyes from Neji in Naruto... I'm just obsessed with that show and I love the ideas in it! I just can't help... er... borrowing ideas from it!
Note: Ike doesn't have wings anymore, and now he has just one extremely long tail with a tufted end. I changed it so that he can match his dog, horse, and raven form more instead of matching Gaia. Besides, if he has wings in his human form than what's the point of his raven form? And this makes more of an obstacle.
Constructive criticism and just plain comments are, as always, appreciated! I'll try to reply to every one, cuz' I'm nice like that! *wink*
