Most people know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk pretty well. This is my take on the scene where Jack stealthily snatches the hen that lays golden eggs. Little does he know that there's a giant standing behind him, trying to figure out just what Jack is doing there.

Blue mechanical pencil; Photoshop.

very very good, love the expression on jack's face, wonderful way of portraying the scene, i like it a lot. *first comment salsa* I don't really like the guy behind him, but i think that's intentionally

:-) Timothy Kou replies: "Yeah, the guy behind him is sorta scary. Not to worry. He's only a giant. Not to terribly smart. Thanks for visiting."

Well... I hope you survived the crash. 12

Great work, as usual. I love the lighting effects and shading. Absolutely splendid.

My only suggestion: perhaps it should be renamed. "Jack be REALLY quick"? That giant is HUGE! 2

Anyway...keep up the good work!

2 Timothy Kou replies: "Hey, Rachel. Yes, I survived my night. Thanks for the comments and the visit. I'll let you know when other things have been put up via e-mail or in person. Seeya."

Great composition. I like how the hen and her eggs are glowing.

2 Timothy Kou replies: "Thanks so much! "

Jack should turn around & stick a golden egg up the giant's nose.

1 Timothy Kou replies: "Haha, that'd make a great pic."

"...and squash us into JELLY!" (sorry, first reaction to the giant! 1 )

COOL! I like this picture almost better than your others, if that's possible!
Jack reminds me of someone, and it's going to bother me until I think of it. Oh well. He looks *highly amused* My only question is this: why are there so many eggs? It seems a little odd. Didn't the giant's wife take them away immediately? However, since they are all exaclty smooth and exactly perfect and exactly shaded (the list goes on...) I don't mind one little smidgen. The lighting on the giant's face is just TOO COOL. Very Cool!!!! (grins)

Nice twist.

Wonderful movement in this picture-- you captured a moment, which is what every artist strives for. I especially like the look on Jack's face coupled with the look on the giant's face-- like bookends.

Ok this is going to sound weird but....

That's a nicely drawn chicken... lol
I like how SHE seems to be aware of the Giant, and there's something very aesthetically pleasing about the volume you gave her... like she's a good natured hen... lol

told you it would sound weird...
