I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but with the semester in full throttle, I''ve got plenty of time between classes to let my imagination wander as well as my pencil (as Joh Howe encourages). This started as one such doodle, and then I sorta got into it. I used some photo references of steers and gorillas.

Wow. Kinda controversial piece of work, huh?

I kinda scrolled down and thought: "AHHH!!! King Kong!!!" But then, I just watched the trailer for the hundred billionth time, so that may explain some things...

Hmm. For some bizarre reason, I really like the knuckles on his right... hand? And the axe is pretty cool. Well, yeah. The picture as a whole is pretty cool. Draw more!!! 2

Er... so much for writing a constructive comment. Sorry! :/

Matt and I both give you a thumbs up. Matt says he is "deeply impressed", especially that this came together in forty minutes. Have you seen any of the screenshots from Narnia that show the minotaur? Be honest, now! 2 Anyway, most excellent.

Hey, new pictures! And some... comments. I find that one pretty funny actually. Nice job on the retort. 1 Personally, I think the picture is pretty cool. After having my attention drawn to the horns, I was thinking that they might possibly be a little uncomfortable to live with. I'm imaging the attempt to turn my head or tip it sideways, walk between trees... This leads me to picture an aching neck. But then, having never had horns myself, I'm really not sure how much they would weigh. 2 I'm very picky about hands--blame it on the nail tech in me coming out. I think these look excellent, and quite real. Although I'd be reluctant to give him a manicure. Overall, hello people, it’s a sketch of a mythical creature! And for that, I think it is very well detailed and convincing. Nice job.

Wow ... just amazing. I personally would like to see another Minotaur pic. But a fully body shot in armor and his horns cut/broken off. War torn if you will ...

Wow, I love this drawing. I actually LOVE the gorilla/bull mix. I think it is more realistic looking, makes minotaurs look more wild and beast like. That's how I like to draw them too. Great job on this.

I don’t seem to find minitaur drawings often, or am I just not taking the time to look for them? Either way, excellent work.

I am very fond of the roughness to this piece, it seems to work very well with the minotaur. I also like the angle of the character. Very nice indeed!

Great pic! Look at the horns as a nice rack to hang trophies. lol
