| 8 May 2006 | Julie Raymond | Loading...*gasp* I take it you got to MEET John Howe? That is awesome... I am jealous! And of course the drawing is amazing as usual. The style reminds me of John Howe's, the way it really captures the spirit of Tolkien's words. I always thought he was especially good at portraying the "bad guys" and making them extra cool and creepy. This is definately quite as creepy as I imagined it in the book! Ah well, enough rambling then. Have a nice day! | |
| 11 May 2006 | Macaroo | Loading...Isn't John fun? He's one of the few people on the planet that's I ask to meet if I could. You're right, his forum is delightful, and his responses to letters and posts are just like everything else he writes: witty and kind. Oh, and great picture too. | |
| 9 Jun 2006 | Aaron R Maurer | Loading...This is awesome. it very much how i imagined him as well but dont forget . Everyone was off their horses when they paleyed with each other. not that it matters much. But this is awesoem | |
| 4 Jan 2008 | David Michael | Loading...God bless you, man! I was so disappointed by Peter Jackson's disgusting mockery of the character (an exaggerated mutilated mouth, are you kidding me?), and was longing for a version that was true to the cold sophistication found in the books. And I think you have it here. It looks a lot like the movie version, but with a more normal head, and that was my main beef. This is great, you can actually believe here that he is a descendent of the Black Numenoreans, as opposed to some orcish monster. | |
