Caisa M. Howerin replies: "Thank you. Tried to combine an aura of mystery with realism when I painted this nymph. Also tried to convey her feelings, her hopefulness, and her fears. "

There’s a story about her character dancing at the spring festival of her (human) tribe, dressed only in wreaths of flowers (check). But they know she is different... and even though she is beautiful and well-loved by her people, when the dancing ends, no lover has come to try to win her favour.
The story was sad enough to start with and then I saw this picture, and immediately went "Oh, it’s XXXXXXX...!" and actually started tearing up... I had to send the link to the player whose character this is, and she immediately emails back saying "OH GOD IT’S XXXXX AT THE SPRING RITE!!! SO SAD!!!"
So we have our own story for your lovely picture! Thanks!
