| 19 Jan 2005 | Dani | Loading...I just happened upon this site and this artwork, but I thought I would share my perspective, especially after reading 'pessimistic viewer's comments. Perhaps I should realize how telling the handle is.? Anyway, I think this nymph is beautiful and drawn with great focus. The forehead is clearly hidden under the leaves and the contrast between the neck and face is evidence of a strong light (perhaps the sun)and that the viewer's focus should stay on the nymph's face.
