And I can't write poetry, so I envy you that ability. *glowers* *grumbles* *does first comment dance* Sarah Michelle Hagen replies: "Haha, well it loosely describes when odyseus ( I didnt spell that right ) *grin* was shipwrecked on calypso's island. I just liked the ryhmes *Squee*"

No real criticism for you though. Sarah Michelle Hagen replies: "Yay! *Does her own special happy dance* No criticism! This poem was written a long time ago, I actually have more natural talent for poerty, and as you said-I like the rhyming the most, but I love stories."
| 27 Jul 2004 | Tayler W. | Loading...0.0 CURSE ALL YOU POETS! Why can't i do that? ... oh wait, i promised that i'd keep my jealousy hidden. *plasters big grin on her face* i'm glad they force fed this stuff to me in school too^^. well, i really wish i could comment more, but i hardly feel qualified seeing as how i am no poet. I thought it was a beautiful piece, ecpecially the last line. But i shall not blather on about things which i do not know (poetry being one of them). Sarah Michelle Hagen replies: "Well I am very happy that you liked the poem. And the last line. " | |
| 27 Jul 2004 | Simi Landau *Muffin Queen* | Loading...Yay for knowing the legend behind this! Being forced to read books for school can come in handy sometimes. This poem is great!!!! With one teeny exception, the meter is perfect (I'm jealous when other people can pull meter off, because I sure as heck can't). The rhyming is great, too. Nothing forced, nothing given up in order to make the rhyme. The one teensy nitpick: First verse, fourth line...there's one syllable extra! -_- I bet you hate me for being so nitpicky. But if you don't, replacing "easily" with "easy" would work. Possibly not grammatically, but it is poetry after all. ^_^ Your poetry is great! Now perhaps I'll find myself some prose. Sarah Michelle Hagen replies: "Thank you again for all your wonderful help! I will fix this as well when the next ticket goes through, *grumbles and buries head in pillows* which may be awhile, as I am writing a few new stories to upload!" | |
| 2 Dec 2004 | B. D. Measor | Loading...I liked this poem, but are you telling my Calypso kills herself? I don't ever recall reading that part in Homers Odyssey, and maybe I was just skimming that day and missed it but... nm, oh well, the rest of it is cool. Wait! maybe you are thinking about Odysseus's little ship getting smoked by Poseidon? oh well, I still liked it, and yes I am a classic mythology major. Keep up the cool work =) Sarah Michelle Hagen replies: "A thousand thanks to the illustrious people who visit my site. Though not one of my best, I've always had a soft spot for calypso, and again, thank you very much for dropping by to comment, I apologize for the delay in my response, time has unfortunatley been working against me. I look forward to future conversations with you, Sirrah, and I bid you a good day." | |
