What would you do if you could bring art to life with a touch? |
|
Our old museum was nothing new
The art that hung seemed lost, a bit confused
I looked around, the guards asleep
So toward a stone statue I creep
Her face was chiseled perfectly
I could have sworn she winked at me
I reached out my hand onto her dusty frame
She was cold it seemed such a shame
Her face curved upwards in a smile
She took a heavy breath as though she hadn"t for a while
She stepped off her display and twirled in the air
I stood quite numbly, watching her there
She sighed content and took my hand
I stared at her trying to understand
Her anatomy was now flesh and bone
And I looked at the girl who was once a stone
She lifted my hand towards a painting
The sailor figure was tainting
I touched amazed and watched him jerk
Now much more than simple brushwork
The beautiful girl led me through the rooms
Saving the placid beasts from their lifeless tombs
Touching paintings of valiant swordplay
A bright young man with a dragon to slay
I continued touching all I saw there
A little bird figure that flew through the air
Breaking the old and dusty displays
The percussion of life forgetting passé
The guard was still sound asleep
The statue girl and I we creep
Our old museum was nothing new
A tomb for treasures to be rescued
