I’m Portuguese, I live in Lisbon and I work in an animation studio. Amazingly, ever since I started working there about a year and a half ago I stopped doing my own drawings at home. This actually happens to several people I know there. Still, it is magnificent to work in a place where there are so many extremely talented artists, and I definitely feel that inevitably the different styles and influences I find myself subjected to there do enrich my own perception of and capacity for the art of drawing. I have chosen a modest quantity of drawings to display here, some of them quite old. Still, I hope you enjoy them. And contrary to what you might be led to believe, I am not into Satanism or anything like that. But I have been a fierce Heavy Metal maniac since the eighties, and that sometimes tends to show in my drawings.

Hello Ricardo, I'd like to invite you to join the Garden hub. It's an art community project, which basically consists of a glorified link page of sorts and serves to take up the slack when Elfwood goes down or is temporarily unusable due to administrative action. Most of us miss e-mail or homepage addresses of friends when they can't go to the Elfwood bio's. The Garden could be a good place to find them then! Please ask all your friends to join too! The site is new and we have a slowly growing editorial staff who will be overseeing administrative decisions, so it won't be a singular project but rather a coordinated effort.
