Oh, the info is there, but you have to click on the chapter heads to access it, and they don’t mention in the intro that you have to. Thats a stupid way to set it up.
Maybe I should write a wiki on stupid things people do when they write wiki’s!

I know what you mean about people avoiding dancers after a bad dance that wasn’t their fault. I try not to do that, because I do know how much difference the lead can make.
The opposite sometimes happens as well. I usually adapt well to whatever my partner can (or can’t) do, so they sometimes seem to be better dancers than they actually are; then I see the surprise other leads feel after they ask to dance and find how hard they are to deal with.

Circumstance change things too. I recently apologized to a wonderful partner after a dance because I felt I had hadn’t done her or the music justice. But it was crowded and hard to manuever, so she forgave me. At least, that’s what she said...

But here is something I believe:
A bad lead can make a good follow look bad, and a bad follow can make a good lead look bad.
i.e. Badness is stronger than goodness.
Nevertheless, a great follow can make a bad lead look good.
And conversely, a great lead can make a bad follow look good.
Greatness overcomes ineptness.

This is why mediocre dancers look good on ’Dancing with the Stars’ - the professionals are amazing. Though there are limits to anything...

How could you put Tim Burton last in that list? *cries* I love Burton can’t wait to see Coroline
