Sailing to Valhalla

Drops of sunshine
Falling from the sky.
Bands of color
Brightening the pyre.
Sword and shield
Protecting the grave.
Warriors Spirit
Sailing on ahead
To the hall of the dead..

I like it very much, but I believe that Valhalla is Norse myth/legend, but this is in Celtic Section, sorry, just confused me a bit. Good job

:-) Frederic H Vinhage replies: "Hmm Elfwood is advancing, when I joined there wasn’t a celtic section. I guess I will look around and try to catch up with the times."

Over the Rainbow Bridge... I can almost see the Vikings grieving over a slain loved one.I find it interesting that Viking(i.e. Norse) and Celtic cultures often overlap-since the Vikings settled in Ireland and Scotland and parts of England, accounting for the red and blond hair and other Norse features found in these lands.I’m part Scots , myself, and live in the rocky desert of Southern Arizona, therefore, am I a Scotch on the rocks??Sorry, I digress, these things just come over me all of a sudden-Nice Poem1
