It's part of my secret plot to get you so exhausted that you don't have the energy to take over the hall for complete rulership once we've laid seige to every room. *poke* Tag." | |
| 24 Jan 2005 | Evallynne Eeve Spirit | I'm realy glad to see you putting up new work. It gets boring when its all just new artists. . . Its cooler to see old artists put up new stuff, cause you get to see their old styles, and the little things theive changed! Keep up the great work! Jessica 'CelticDragon' Camp replies: "Thanks. I've started trying to draw more cartoonish stuff...that's not going too well, but I've gotten decent at drawing people. Just have to scan in my new pics once I finish them." | |
| 15 Jun 2005 | Megan Mccarson | yeah! Jessica Dragon Weather does rock Eragon rocks too (although they classify it as a childrens book it is way to young adult for children!) Jessica 'CelticDragon' Camp replies: "Yay! That makes three other people who've read it! I've got all three books in the trilogy (The Dragon Society and Dragon Venom are the other two.) and I'm about to start reading the first two over before I read the last one for the first time but I've been busy reading R.A. Salvatore's stuff and the Harry Potter books over again, so it'll have to wait. (Save the best for last and all that. ^_^) ....It's considered a children's book? 0.o..." | |

| 5 Apr 2007 | James Edward Vance | Awsome page. I was sondering if u had any pointers on how to improve on my dragon bios/ Love them all . Jessica 'CelticDragon' Camp replies: "Thanks. As far as improving goes, I'm a fan of working from the inside out. Think of animals that have body parts similar to what you want those of your dragon to look like (dinosaurs, lizards, birds, bats, and cats are all commonly used). Look up pictures of the skeletons of body parts you're interested in. Practice drawing the skeletons until you can confidently duplicate them without looking. You don't have to do every little detail, if that gets frustrating. Get the overall gist of it first and add on details bit by bit until you instinctively draw them whenever you doodle. (an example is that at every joint in the fingers of a bat's wing, the joint swells to a larger size than w/in the bone shaft because of the shape of the phalanges). After you've got a better sense of how the bones look, try drawing a dragon again and comparing it to your past drawings. There should be a definite improvement. When you've gotten the skeleton down, move on to muscles and go through the same process with them. After you've got the skeletal anatomy and musculature down, start looking at skin textures and practicing with them. If you want some places to start looking, try here: http://elftown.lysator.liu.se/_Unicorns%20Are%20AntelopeIt's a page I made to gather anatomical references. Good luck." | |
